1. How does the program define a successful submission?
You might wonder what
we consider a successful submission. Most of the search engines
and directories react differently. Some automatically add
your page immediately when you submit it, some e-mail you
a notification message, some put your submission data in a
'New Submission' queue, which may take from a day to a few
weeks to be added - if ever. Some engines may request special
conditions for adding your data to their sites, if your web
site does not match their requirements, even if the submission
process is successful, your web site will still go nowhere.
Dynamic Submission 2000 defines a successful submission as
follows: if it is connected to the search engine or directory,
and if the submission data is sent successfully and received
a positive response code from the engine, then it is considered
a successful submission. However, if Dynamic Submission 2000
cannot connect to the site, or the site returns an error message
(or code) to Dynamic Submission 2000, it is considered a Failed
Submission.
